I have read your query on Tena Johanna Michelke. I am not aware of a Catholic convent/hospital in the Alton Iowa area at the time. There was a Catholic institution in Sioux City called the Florence Crittenton Home for unwed mothers. Look their contact information up and send them an inquiry. I will check any other leads I can come up with.
