At Rest

Maakie De Koster was born in South Holland, Netherlands, March 21st, 1847 and died June 21st, 1918 being 71 years and 3 months of age at the time of her death.

In 1866 she was married to William Bell. To this union were born nine children. Mr. Bell died December 26, 1899 [might be 1893]. Mrs. Bell came to the United States and to Hull in 1907. The same year she was married to C. VerDuin.

Three children and a brother--Mrs. K. Boote and Mr. P.J. Bell and Mrs. L. Heemskerk, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Lukas DeKoster are left to mourn with the husband, the loss of a good woman.

The funeral took place Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Boote where she had been during her last illness and interment made in Hope Cemetery.

(Volunteer note: According to Find-A-Grave, her first husband was William Bel. Second husband Cornelius VanDuyn, so I have included both names and spellings.)
