Funeral services for Albert Willer, 89, Big Rock, were held March 22, 1997 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Big Rock, with the Rev. Mark Narum officiating. Dorothy Gibson was the organist and pallbearers were Darrell Mickelson, Jess Geer, Art Petersen, Hugo Eserhaut, Marvin Scheper and LeRoy Scheper. Burial was in St. Paul's cemetery, Wheatland.

Mr. Willer died March 19 at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport, following a short illness.

The son of August and Mary Geiger Willer, he was born Dec. 29, 1907 in rural Scott county. He married Dorothy Scheper Eserhaut June 7, 1959 in DeWitt. She died in March 1992.

He was a retired farm hand and handyman in the Big Rock area.

Mr. Willer was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Big Rock.

He is survived by 2 stepsons, Wayne Eserhaut, Big Rock; and Eldon Eserhaut, Phoenix, Ariz.; 3 granddaughters; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
