Rites Held Saturday For Local Man Wm. Lunkenheimer Dies Following Heart Attack

Funeral services for William Lunkenheimer, 69, were held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning December 23 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Odebolt with Rev. Father L. J. Eisenbacher officiating. Mr. Lunkenheimer died Wednesday, December 20 in Horn Memorial hospital in Ida Grove after suffering a heart attack at his home.

Interment was in St. Martin's cemetery at Odebolt with Virtus Pittman, Walter Nielsen, Dale Gronemeyer, Duane Veit, Niles Meltesen, and Glenn Boerner the attendants.

William R, Lunkenheimer was born at Odebolt, Sac county, Iowa September 24, 1903, to Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Lunkenheimer, He lived his entire life in Odebolt and worked as a mason until his retirement in 1964.

He was married to Mary Theis Lunkenheimer, June 7, 1923. They had two children, Sylvester of Odebolt and Adeline, Mrs. Phillip Hott of Storm Lake, both of whom survive.

Survivors besides his wife and two children include five grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Mrs. Ann Swink of McHenry, Illinois, and one brother Gus Lunkenheimer of McHenry, Illinois.

Friends and relatives attended the funeral from Illinois, Sac City, Storm Lake, Carrol
