DEATH OF BERLEE BROWN

Miss Berlee BROWN, 14, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Joe BROWN, died early Tuesday morning at the Creston hospital, following an operation for appendicitis about a week ago. The funeral will be held at the M.E. church this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A.C. STARK. Interment in the Tingley cemetery. Obituary next week

OBITUARY - BERLEE BROWN

Bonnie Berlee BROWN, daughter of Joseph F. and Lottie M. BROWN, was born near Tingley, Iowa, Jan. 12, 1923, and departed this life at Greater Community Hospital in Creston, Iowa, Dec. 21, 1937, at the age of 14 years 11 months and 9 days.

She was a member of the Sophomore class of the Tingley High School. She had a most kind and loving disposition and was a friend to everyone. She took life with a smile, never complained, and enjoyed every day and minute. She loved little children and was especially respectful to older people.

Berlee leaves to mourn her departure, her father and mother, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F.F. BROWN and Mr. and Mrs. R.W. ARNOLD of Tingley, her great grandmother, Mrs. Susan LADD of Grand River, two aunts, Mrs. Claude COFFMAN of Liscomb, Iowa, and Mrs. Lloyd ADAMS of Ellston, Iowa, two uncles, Lawrence BROWN of Ellston, Iowa, and Irvin C. BROWN of Arlington, Va., and a host of other relatvies and friends.

She will be greatly missed in the home, in the school and in the community.

Dear Berlee, you have left us,
Your loving voice is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home,
That never can be filled.

We can never find words that will express out heartfelt thanks to our friends and neighbors for the many acts of kindness shown us during the illness and death of our loved one, Berlee; also for the beautiful flowers. May God bless each and all of you.
