Johnathon Joseph Raisch, 22, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his home.

John was born on December 3, 1991, in Des Moines to Brian and Regina Raisch. He graduated from Mason City High School in 2010, and then was accepted to ISU and entered the aerospace engineering program. John was currently working at Johnston Woodworking side by side with his cousins. John loved football, baseball, pool, fishing, hunting, and everything outdoors. He is going to be greatly missed by his family and loved ones.

He is survived by his father, Brian Raisch; his mother, Regina (Robert) Hunn; brother, Joshua; step-sisters, Brittany her son, Thaylin and Crystal; grandfather, Donald Raisch; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family members.

John is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandmother, and one uncle.

A celebration of his life will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Burial will take place Monday, January 6 at Pine Hill Cemetery. Family will greet friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

In honor of John's love of baseball memorial contributions can be given to Walnut Creek Little League.
