DIES SOON AFTER HUSBAND.
Span of Two Months Between the Deaths of Old Residents

Mrs. Rachel M. Baker, 1510 Ross street, Sioux City, 72 years old, died at the farm home of her daughter, Mrs. Linda Burkett, near Akron, Iowa, Thursday night, little more than two months after the death of her husband, D. M. Baker, on January 25.

Mrs. Baker was an old settler in Plymouth county, having lived here for more than 40 years.

With her husband she went to Sioux City to take up her residence in 1919 at the time when Mr. Baker retired from active work.

Mrs. Baker is survived by four sons: A. J. Baker and F. E. Baker, of Merrill, Iowa; J. H. Baker of Sioux City, and P. D. Baker, of Denver, Colo.; and five daughters, Mrs. Etta Cook of Everett, Wash.; Mrs. Linda Burkett, of Akron, Iowa; Mrs. Nellie Blesendorf, of Mexico; Mrs. Mable Lindsay, of LeMars, Iowa; and Mrs. Florence Zellers, of Akron.
