Mrs. Grubb had lived lifetime in Blanchard

Services for Mrs. Maude Grubb, lifetime resident of the Blanchard area, will be at 2:30 p.m. (DST) Friday at the Methodist Church here.

Mrs. Grubb died Wednesday morning at the Fairfax Hospital being a patient there for about a week. She had been living at the Wallin Nursing Home in Clearmont.

Mrs. Grubb was born July 23, 1888 on a farm southwest of town. She was married to Kelly Grubb and later to Ross Grubb, farming until death came to her second husband. She clerked in a meat market and grocery store after moving to town and was later a telephone operator for many years.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Max Hall with Miss Jean Miller, Mrs. Carl Davis and Mrs. Raymond Huston in charge of the music. Pallbearers will be Carl Ulmer, Roy Doutbit, Elmer Braman, C.H. Millen, Charles Hutt and Doyle Gibson.

NOTE: Gravestone records indicate Maude E. Grubb was the daughter of Benjamin Wallace and Margaret A. (Fantz) Steel.
