Memorial services for Lawrence F. Sullivan, 86, West Liberty, will be held March 22, 1997 at First Church United in West Liberty. The body has been donated to the University of Iowa for research.

Mr. Sullivan died March 17 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City, following an extended illness.

He was born June 26, 1910 in Varina. He married Margaret Willard in 1958 in Ft. Dodge.

Mr. Sullivan farmed and was a carpenter and cabinet maker.

During World War II he served in the 90th Infantry Division in England, Germany and Belgium. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife; 2 stepchildren, Tom Willard, West Liberty; and Dixie Patton, McAllen, Texas; 8 step-grandchildren and a brother, John.
