Funeral services for Elma E. Waack, 86, Stockton, were held March 1, 1997 at Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, with Pastor Keith Speaks officiating. Pallbearers were Greg, Jeff and Cody Waack, Mike Kleist, Roy Halstead and Murray Paarman. Marvin Paarman was an honorary pallbearer. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mrs. Waack died Feb. 26, 1997 at Community Care of America in Muscatine.

The daughter of Clifford and Clarabelle McGee Anderson, she was born Jan. 29, 1911 in Rock Island, Ill. She married Heinrich "Heine" Waack June 4, 1938 in Davenport. He died Feb. 12, 1968.

Mrs. Waack was a lifelong resident of Stockton.

She enjoyed working in her yard and garden.

Mrs. Waack is survived by a daughter, Pamela Ford, Wilton; 2 sons, Mike Waack, Muscatine; and Philip Waack, Eldridge; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
