Graveside services for Gladys Mae Inghram, 90, Iowa City, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997 at the Oak Ridge cemetery, West Liberty, with Pastor Frank Huebner officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton.

Glaldys Inghram died Jan. 5 at the Iowa City Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, following a lingering illness.

The daughter of Louie J. and Edith May Romaine Inghram, she was born Nov. 12, 1906 in West Liberty. She graduated from West Liberty high school, Iowa State Teachers College and the Strayer College of Accounting.

Gladys Inghram was an accountant and a teacher in Cedar and Muscatine county country schools.

She also worked as an accountant in the Washington D.C. Quartermaster Department during World War II.

She was a member of the Cedar Street Baptist church in Tipton. She was also a member of Sigma Phi Omega in Washington, D.C., created for the advancement of women in the accounting field.

Gladys Inghram is survived by a sister, Ruth Sissel, Tipton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Beulah Schuessler and a brother, Ivan Inghram.
