A young man named Peter Storms, living in Cedar township, Muscatine county, met with a fatal accident, Tuesday, of last week, while doing some hauling. Having a balky horse in the team, he prodded the animal with a pitchfork of which the handle was broken, making a long slivered point. The horse kicked against the fork and drove the pointed handle into the young man's side and inflicted a wound from which he died next day.
