Funeral services for Robert F. Staley, 73, Atalissa, were held Nov. 29, 1996 at the Atalissa Church of Christ, with the Rev. John McCrory officiating. Burial was in the Overman cemetery, Atalissa.

Mr. Staley died Nov. 25 at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport.

The son of Archie and Lillian Weise Staley, he was born May 6, 1923 in Atalissa. He graduated from Atalissa high school in 1942. He married Eleanor Lindhorst June 6, 1948 in Wilton.

Mr. Staley had been an auto mechanic in the West Liberty and Muscatine areas.

He is survived by 2 sons, Jeff and Mark, both of Atalissa; 3 daughters, Diane Beaver and husband Jody, West Liberty; Sheryl Brown and husband Steve, West Liberty; and Pam Fry and husband Bryan, Mt. Pleasant; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1991 and a sister, Fern Thomason, in 1993.

Memorials may be made to the Atalissa Church of Church or the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport.
