Funeral services for Alfred P. (Pete) Hansen, 73, Wilton, were held at Muscatine April 30 with burial in Oakdale cemetery. Mr. Hansen died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City April 27.

The son of Martin and Marie Ovesen Hansen, he was born in Muscatine county April 30, 1910. He was married to Loretto Cottrell in Muscatine April 26, 1941. He was a lifetime resident of Wilton.

He was a 1933 graduate of Central College in Pella, and taught high school in Wilton for five years. He served in the US Navy during World War II, serving as a lieutenant, senior grade in both theaters. He farmed until 1952 when he became a real estate broker and was currently a member of the Muscatine County Board of Realtors. He was also a member of the Muscatine County Inheritance Tax Board and the Muscatine County Board of Review.

Mr. Hansen served for over 15 years on the Wilton school board, and was a member of the Muscatine County Zoning commission for many years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Muscatine.

Surviving are his wife, Wilton; a daughter, Mrs. James (Paulette) Fisher, Colona, IL; 2 grandchildren; and a brother, Frank, Wilton.
