Conductor Mark Crane, of Burlington, has been off duty in attendance at the bedside of his mother in Creston, who has been seriously ill for some time. Word has been received that Mr Crane's mother passed away at the ripe age of 67 years. Mark has the sympathy of all acquaitances.

Mrs. M. J. Crane died at 1:30 Friday afternoon at the family home, on South Maple street, after several months illness, aged sixty-seven years. Arrangements have not been decided on for the funeral but the remains will be taken to Monroe county and buried by the side of Mrs. Crane's husband, who died in 1894. Deceased was born in Ireland but came to America when a young woman. She resided in Monroe county many years and moved to Creston in 1888. Deceased was a splendid woman and had many friends. She was a member of the Catholic church and lived a consistent Christian life. She leaves eight children, Frank Judge, Mike Judge, Mrs. Delia Cullen, James Crane, Thos. Crane, Regina Crane, Mark Crane and D. J. Crane. The remains were taken to Georgetown, Monroe county, Friday morning on No. 10.

Death of Mrs. Crane.
Passes Away After an Illness Extending Since Last November.

Mrs. M. T. Crane, who has been sick at home, 307 south Maple street, for several months, died Friday afternoon at 1:30. The remains were sent to Monroe county for interment, the funeral party leaving on No. 10 Saturday morning. Services were held at Georgetown.

Deceased was 67 years of age. She was born in County Meathe, Ireland. Since 1884 Mrs. Crane had been a resident of this city, coming to Creston from Monroe county. Her husband passed away in Creston in the year ' 94. Mrs. Crane had been ill since last November but she bore her affliction with a patience that was truly remarkable. She did not complain but endured her suffering with true Christian fortitude. She was a devoted member of the Catholic church. During her illness she received the kindly care from her family but the loving kindness of children and the aid of physicians was not capable of preventing the Angel of Death from claiming the mother. Mrs. Crane was not only a devoted mother but she was a kind neighbor and friend, and her death is greatly lamented. The bereaved children will miss a mother's counsel and care and to them the deepest sympathy is extended. Mrs. Crane leaves eight children to mourn her death as follows: J. F. Judge, M. Judge, T. J. Crane, of Monroe county, Mrs. Delia Cullen, J. W. Crane, D. J. Crane, Conductor Mark Crane, Regina Crane, of this city.
