Richard C. Rawlings, 80, Waterbury, Neb., former Sioux City resident died Wednesday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services Nelson 10 a.m. Friday in the Berger Northside Chapel. The Rev. David Newell of the First Lutheran Church of Allen, Neb. will officiate. Burial will be in the Onawa (Iowa) City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral chapel.

Mr. Rawlings was born Aug. 26, 1901, in Onawa. He came to Sioux City after graduation from the Onawa High School and moved to Waterbury 14 years ago.

He married Evelyn Sundt Pierce Dec. 29, 1968, at Allen. He was employed as a livestock commission man for various firms at the Sioux City Stockyards. He was part owner of the Waitt & Hruska firm, later working for Switzer & Co.

He attended the First Lutheran Church in Allen.

Survivors include his wife and one brother, Maurice E. of Sioux City.
