RODNEY, Iowa - Raleigh J. Myers, 88, of Rodney died Sunday in a nursing home at Mapleton after a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Masonic Temple in Anthon. The Rev. Edward Schaller will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Anthon under the direction of the Willman Funeral Home of Rodney.

Mr. Myers was born Sept. 23, 1893, at Anthon.

He married Avilla Gorman May 1, 1918, at St. Paul, Minn. She preceded him in death. At the time of his retirement, he was a supervisor of the General Electric Corp. in Washington.

Mr. Myers was a Methodist and was a member of BPOE.

Survivors include two sons, George M. of Louisville, Ky. and John A. of San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Vern (Molly) Brant of Correctionville and Mrs. Melvin (Jean) Ereth of Tacoma, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
