Mrs. Minnie Baak, 71, of Mapleton, Ia., died Tuesday night in a Sioux City hospital following an illness of several months.

She was born June 3, 1874, in Germany and came to the Mapleton vicinity in 1882.

She was married to August Baak in 1890 and he died in 1939. She was a member of the Lutheran church in Mapleton.

Surviving are two sons, Walter of Chicago and Albert of Los Angeles; four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Videler of Los Angeles, Mrs. William Bielow of Decatur, Neb., Mrs. Bend Jurgens of Johnson, Minn., Mrs. Henry Dethelfs of Graceville, Minn.

The body was to be sent late Wednesday from the Ivan Winter funeral home to Graceville for the funeral and interment.
