DIED - At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Abigail Arms, in Owatonna, Minn. April 8th, 1889, Mrs. Abigail Hews, aged 75 years and four months.
She was born in Canada but spent the last twenty years in Mitchell county, and since the death of her husband nine years ago, struggled on in poor health and great age to keep a home for her two deaf and dumb sons on the homestead in Rock township.
Her remains were brought to the family homestead, and thence taken to Mitchell for burial. The funeral services being conducted by Rev. A.A. Thayer in the Congregational church.

To whom it may concern: The will of Abigail Hews, deceased, having been this day filed, opened and read, Monday, the 20th day of May 1889, at 2 o'clock, p.m., if fixed for hearing proof of same.
