Herman L. Irons of Swan Iowa passed away peacefully at his home on January 6, 2014. Visitation for Herman will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday January 9, 2014 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Graveside Services for Herman will be at 10:30 a.m. at the Pleasantville Cemetery on Friday January 10, 2014. Herman enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and gardening. Herman also enjoyed working in his apple orchard and grape vineyard. Herman worked in the farming community. Herman served in the Army Corp of Engineers in the Korean War.

Herman is survived by his two sons; Danny Irons of Swan Iowa and Don Irons of Pleasant Hill, Iowa and grandson, Jordan (Theresa) Agey. Herman was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Nancy. Online condolences can be made at www.petersonfuneralservice.com
