Grace Stoops, youngest daughter of Tom and Sarah Stoops was born June 10, 1887, in Knoxville, and died at her home here, May 28, 1948, at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 18 days. She was united in marriage to Clifford Allard, February 22, 1906 in Nevada. They made their home in Ames for about nine years, after which they moved to Knoxville, where they remained until the time of her death.
Mrs. Allard was baptized in the Jesus Name Mission in 1918 and remained a faithful and active member throughout the remainder of her life.
Mrs. Allard is survived by her husband, Clifford Allard, two daughters, Mrs. Gail Maddy and Mrs. Helen Thompson, of Knoxville, one brother, Alvin Stoops, of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., two sisters, Mrs. W C. Randol and Mrs. Walter Davis, of Knoxville, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service were held from the First Christian church at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Robert D. Norris. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery.
