Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Adams Chapel at Ames for William Bert Stoops, 83, who died Sunday in the Story County hospital.
Born in Knoxville, the deceased spent most of his life in Ames. Before retiring in 1943, he was a section man for the North Western railroad.
Mr. Stoops is survived by his widow Viola; two daughters, Mr. Harry Davis, of Ames, and Mrs. Arthur Greene of Boone; and a brother, Nelson Stoops, of Ames.
