Mrs. Addie Sarah Davis, daughter of Thomas Stoops and Sarah Kennedy Stoops, was born July 20, 1882, in Knoxville, and died at the Collins Memorial hospital Knoxville, Wednesday, February 8, 1956, at the age of 73 years, 6 months, 18 days. Death was due to heart attack.
On October 17, 1898, the deceased was married to Clarence Walter Davis and to this union eight children were born.
Mrs. Davis united with the Assembly of God church many years ago and had remained a faithful member since that time, attending when her health permitted.
The deceased was preceded in death by her father and mother, two sisters, two brothers, her husband, Clarence Davis, and a daughter, Mrs. Edith Powers. The seven children who survive are Mrs. Bryl Kreimeyer, Newton; Mrs. Leona Dainty, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Opal Layman, Tuelelake, Calif., Mrs. Sylvia Zoutte, Knoxville; Mrs. Iona Ehlers, Deshler, Nebr., Clarence, Highland Park, Ill., ad Harold, Knoxville. There are also thirty-one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Randol, Knoxville.
Funeral services were held, last Saturday, at 2 p.m., from the Bybee & Davis funeral home, conducted by Rev. J. O. Howard. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery.

Life Story of Mrs. Walter Davis
Addie Sarah, daughter of Thomas and Sarah Kennedy Stoops was born July 20, 1882 in Knoxville and died at Collins Memorial Hospital Feb. 8 at the age of 73.
She was married to Clarence Walter Davis Oct. 17, 1898. To their union eight children were born. Mrs. Davis has been a member of the Assembly of God Church for many years.
Her parents, two sisters, two brothers, her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Edith Powers, preceded her in death.
Surviving are seven children: Mrs. Bryl Kreimeyer of Newton, Mrs. Leona Dainty of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Opal Layman of Tulelake, Calif., Mrs. Sylvia Zoutte and Harold of Knoxville, Mrs. Iona Ehlers of Deshler, Neb., and Clarence of Highland Park, Ill. There are also 31 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Randol of Knoxville.
Funeral services were held Feb. 11 at the Bybee and Davis Funeral Home at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. J. O. Howard. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
