Della Stoops, daughter of William and Mary Stoops, was born in Knoxville, Iowa, January 13, 1867, and died at the home of her daughter, Marguerite, in Knoxville, June 24, 1940, at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 10 days.
July 15, 1884, she married Charles T. Kennedy, who preceded her in death eight years ago. To this union ten children were born, six boys and four girls. One son died in infancy, and one daughter, Faye, about a year ago. The children who survive her are Delbert, Earle, Arthur, Howard, Dwight, all of Knoxville; Mrs. Leotis Wagner, of Eldora; Mrs. Marguerite Vickeroy, Knoxville; Mrs. Doyal Bear, of Runnells, Iowa. There are 32 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
She lived the greater part of her life here in Knoxville, and was well known and liked by many. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ, in Knoxville.
