Charles F. Kennedy, son of Andrew Jackson and Martha Kennedy, was born at Coshocton, Ohio, May 11, 1860, and died at his home in Knoxville, Nov. 28, 1932, aged 72, 6 months and 17 days.
He was united in marriage to Della Stoops, July 15, 1884. To this union ten children were born, six boys and four girls. One boy, Forrest, died in infancy.
Mr. Kennedy spent his boyhood days in the state of Indiana, coming to Iowa in about the year 1882, and remained in Iowa and in the vicinity of Knoxville the rest of his life.
He united with the Christian church and after coming to Iowa and has always been Christian inclined. He renewed his covenant with the Lord the last few weeks of his life, and died trusting in the Saviour.
He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and nine children, who are: Delbert, Earl, Arthur, Howard, Dwight, Mrs. Doyal Bear, all of Knoxville; Marguerite Vickory, of Pershing; Fay Orr of Sheffield; Leotus Wagner of Robertson, all of Iowa, and 23 grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Elder D. D. Dainty at the Bybee & Davis funeral home. Interment at Graceland cemetery.
