HORSMAN

HANNAH C. JOHNSTON was born in Clinton county , Ohio , Feb 29 ,1852 , and died at her home in Pleasantville , April 17 , 1905 , aged 53 years and 2 months.

She came with her parents to Iowa in 1858 and settled in Marion county , where she lived until her death . She was married to DAVID HORSMAN in 1870 , and to this union four children were born , three of who are living ; Miss ERVA HORSMAN , Mrs. MILLER GLENN and DALLY HORSMAN.

Sister Horsman also leaves a husband , five brothers , two sister and aged father and mother to mourn her loss. She united with the Christian church at Oro Dell over twenty years ago , and has lived a faithful Christian life.

Six years ago she was taken sick and has been practically an invaild since , gradually growing worse until relieved by death. Last fall she lost her power of speech. Her long illness gave opportunity for " patience to do its perfect work " , which she showed to a marked degree in her life. She was a good and faithful wife , a loving mother and a dutiful daughter.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Pleasantville on Tuesday afternoon. A large concourse of relatives and friends were in attendance. Many of the friends were from her old home near Oro Dell. Elder J. W. BABCOCK preached a sermon full of comfort to the bereaved ones , from Rev. 12:25 ; " no night there ." the remains were interred in the Pleasantville cemetery. Pleasantville News.
