Mardella Brummel, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Chariton Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at McLaren's Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Mardella is survived by her daughter, Evelyn (Dominic) Guidichessi; six grandsons, Jim, Tom and Jere Stone, Lou, Larry and Dominic Guidichessi; ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Werner Brummel; parents, Louis and Arvilla Brazee; three brothers and infant grandson.
