Leon H. Luttenegger, 67, of rural Oakville, died Wednesday, June 21, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born June 12, 1922, in Burlington, he was the son of Henry and Mathilda Scheihing Luttenegger. He married Helen Konn Jan. 1, 1950, in Burlington.

He was a farmer and was employed as a truck driver. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Cindy Nelson, Mediapolis, Flora Metzger, Morning Sun, and Rose Schmitz, Burlington; one son, Dennis
Luttenegger, Kingston; two sisters, Dorothy Hoschek, Burlington, and Virginia Gerling, rural Mediapolis; one brother, Paul Luttenegger, rural Burlington; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hafele and Honts Funeral Home, Mediapolis.

The service for Mr. Luttenegger will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, Mediapolis, with Len Camp officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
