Funeral services for Patricia Jane Johnson, 67, Anamosa, were held Jan. 23, 1997 at St. Paul's United Methodist church (EUB) in Olin, with the burial in the Olin cememtery.

Mrs. Johnson died Jan. 2 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, from complications due to a stroke.

The daughter of Perry A. and Elsie O. Shaffer Murfield, she was born March 29, 1929 in Olin. She attended schools in the Olin and Anamosa area. She married Wilbur R. (Bill) Johnson Jan. 19, 1946 in Anamosa.

Mrs. Johnson worked her entire life in various careers. She was the first owner and operator of the Mode-O-Day women's apparel store in Anamosa.

She is survived by her husband; 4 daughters, Vicki (Ronald) Conley, Walford; Pamela (Larry) Robinson, Mechanicsville; Deborah (Rick) Wagner, Stanwood; Conni (Jim) Doser, Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 4 sisters, Mildred Staab, Cedar Rapids; Marcella Batchelder, Olin; Ruth Andre, Torrance, Calif.; and Janice Swanson, Anamosa. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
