Funeral services for Everett H. Brunscheen, 79, Wyoming, were held Jan. 18, 1997 at Zion American Lutheran church in Wyoming, with the Rev. David Guetzke officiating. Pallbearers were Bart, Jon, Jennifer, Summer and Mitchell Brunscheen, Elizabeth and Krista Gales, and Tony Spies. Shiree Beckwith was an honorary pallbearer. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Mr. Brunscheen died Jan. 14 at his winter home in Mission, Texas, following an extended illness.

The son of Herman and Alma Hintz Brunscheen, he was born Nov. 12, 1917 near Wyoming. He attended country schools and graduated from Wyoming high school in 1935. He worked on the family farm. He married Marjorie Dukek June 9, 1939 at Zion American Lutheran church in Wyoming.

The couple farmed west of Wyoming. Following retirement he continued to live on the farm.

Mr. Brunscheen was a member of Zion American Lutheran church and the Zion Lutheran Men in Mission. He had served on the church council, church building committee and the parsonage building committee. He also served on the boards of the Wyoming Mutual Telephone Co. and the Wyoming Fair Association.

He is survived by his wife in Wyoming; 3 sons, David (Karren), Evergreen, Colo.; Derry (Jill), Manitowoc, Wis.; and Rick (Vicky) Wyoming; 2 daughters, Marian (Les) Schwartz, Scholfield, Wis.; and Ann (Rick) Gales, McAllen, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Shiree, Bart, Jonathan, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Krista, Summer and Mitchell; 6 step-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; 6 step-great-grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Herman, Donald and Kenneth, all of Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother and 2 step-grandsons.
