Funeral services for Dylan A. Meyer, 12, Oxford Junction, were held June 19, 1996 in the Midland community school gymnasium in Oxford Junction, with the Rev Todd Chelf officiating. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery, Oxford Junction.

Dylan Meyer drowned June 12 in the Wapsipinicon River near Oxford Mills.

The son of Dale A. and Roxanne Stewart Meyer, he was born June 17, 1983 in Iowa City. He attended Midland community middle school in Lost Nation.

He was active in football, basketball, track, baseball and percussion band. He enjoyed watching auto racing, camping, fishing, playing Nintendo and playing with his friends.

Dylan Meyer is survived by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Bobby Stewart, Bettendorf and Jeannette Stewart, Lowden; his paternal grandparents, Dale and Reba Meyer, Wyoming; his maternal great-grandmother, Nancy Marie Thomas, Chetek, Wis.; 8 aunts, 6 uncles, several great aunts and uncles, and many cousins.
