OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral service was held Saturday morning from the Sacred Heart church at 10 o'clock for Mrs. John Kostichek, sr., 71. Rev. Joseph Gregor conducted the service. Those serving as pallbearers were Frank Ruley, John Lawrence, John Bisinger, Josh Kropek, Vit Lasack and Frank Kostichek. Interment was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Mrs. Kostichek died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Lawrence, Wednesday morning, Feb. 13. She had been ill for the last month.

As Mary Yanda she was born in Bohemia, Sept. 8, 1874, and came to America when a young girl. She was united in marriage to John Kosticheck, Nov. 25, 1901, and they farmed northeast of Oxford Junction. Mr. Kostichek died several years ago. She was a member of the Sacred Heart church of the Altar and Rosary society.

Surviving are two sons, James and John, and one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence, all living in this community; a sister, Mrs. Frank Bruckner, Oxford Junction and a brother, Frank Yanda, Minnesota.
