OXFORD JUNCTION - Final rites were held Wednesday, May 23, from the Sacred Heart church at 10 a.m. for Francis Keegan, 39. The Rev. Fr. Joseph Gregor was in charge of the service. Those serving as pallbearers were William Kehrli, Emmett Leonard, Ray Driscol, Mic Carr, Leonard Healey, and Louis Kehrli. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Francis Keegan was born Nov. 1, 1905, at Ryan, the son of Kerin and Addie Keegan, who died when he was a boy. He made his home with his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Keegan, west of Oxford Junction. He served for four years in the U.S. Army, part of the time in Alaska, and was given his discharge in December, 1944.

He was united in marriage to Marjorie Stowers, Oxford Junction, April 2, 1945, and they have been living at Marion, where he died Sunday evening, May 20. He had been employed at the LaPlante Choate Co.

He is survived by his wife and two brothers, Earl and Kerin, Wyoming.
