Gust KELLEY, 80, Taken In Death

Gust KELLEY, 80, lifetime resident of Jefferson county, died Friday night following a sudden heart attack at his home at 105 E. Hempstead.

KELLEY was stricken about 10 p.m. A physician and the fire department resuscitator were summoned, but he did not respond to emergency treatment.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Lee E. Davis. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

KELLEY was born Jan. 7, 1883, the son of William and Careline STILES KELLEY. He was married to Myrtle BOLEY Oct. 26, 1904. She preceded him in death Sept. 14, 1946.

KELLEY was employed by the CB&Q railroad for more than 30 years before his retirement. He was a member of the First Methodist church.

Surviving are two children, Ernest KELLEY and Mrs. Dale DAVISON, both of Fairfield. Also surviving are two grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Elmer ANDERSON, and one brother, Harley KELLEY, all of Fairfield. One sister and two brothers are deceased.
