FAIRFIELD -- Verne W. KELLER, 69, of Fairfield died at 10:10 a.m. April 17, 1991, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
He was born Aug. 20, 1921, in Van Buren County to Marshall and Hazel OLSON KELLER. He married Velma M. BEKEL on Oct. 3, 1947, in Germanville.
He had lived most of his life in Jefferson County, was a farmer in Buchanan Township and was a veteran of U.S. Air Force and served in World War II. He was a member of Selina Odd Fellows Lodge.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Linda COPELAND and Janet FORD of Fairfield; a son, Larry of Fairfield; three grandchildren and three brothers, Harold and Wayne of Farifield (sic), and Gerald of Bonaparte.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church.
