Funeral Services: Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite located in Lime Springs, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the church in Lime Springs.

Cemetery: Howard Cemetery, Elma, IA

Baptism: Ruth was baptized into the Church of God in Christ Mennonite on January 20, 1958, by Minister Chester Johnson.

Survivors: her husband, Clinton; Children: Jennice and Ralph Toews, Steinbach, Manitoba; Myra and Mark Friesen, Vienna, Ontario; Gordon and Gloria, Elma, Iowa; Sharon and Daniel Koehn, Scott City, Kansas; Don and Ang, Elma, Iowa. Twenty-seven grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren. Her siblings, Betty and Ron Classen, Florence Litwiller, Mary and Dewayne Unruh, Esther and Dave Ensz, Wayne and Marge Litwiller, Marilyn and Stan Ensz, Carolyn and Kevin Classen, John and Misty Litwiller. Dad’s siblings, Ken and Virginia, Linford and Irene, Marlis Barkman, Darlene and Weldon Koehn, Verle and Phyllis.

Pre-deceased by: Her parents, parents-in law, two brothers, one sister, one brother-in-law and one grandson.

Marriage: Clinton Holdeman September 1, 1963

Hobbies/Interest: She loved swimming and took time to teach us to enjoy the water. Her creativity found outlets in gardening, quilting, rug making and much more. She excelled at designing and caring for her yard and garden.
