OBITUARY
COPEMAN.
Levenous Copeman was born in Beckles, Suffolk Co., England, April 29, 1854, and died at his home northwest of Granger Dec. 31, 1916. Mr. Copeman’s parents came to United States when he was one year old and settled at Newark, N. J., where they lived three years and then moved to Fon du Lac, Wis., where they lived on a farm for six years. Again moving west they located at Bellville, Minn. Here Mr. Copeman grew to manhood and in 1878, Nov. 3rd, he was united in marriage to Miss Mahala Colby and they went to his farm at Newhouse, Minn., to establish their home. Here there were born to them seven children. In 1900 Mr. Copeman sold his farm and located near Granger. Afterwards he moved to Florenceville, Iowa, on two different occasions, but moved back, and it was here that he lived out his remaining days. Some yaars ago he united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Florenceville and was a consistent member at his death. He has been in poor health for some months and suffered intensely during his last hours until he found relief in slipping away to meet his Savior. He leaves to mourn his loss besides the devoted wife, four sons and three daughters, one sister, sixteen grand-children and a host of friends.
The funeral was conducted from the Florenceville M. E. Church by the Rev. Will Kirwin, pastor of the M. E. church at Cresco, and interment was had at Florenceville cemetery.
