MARRIED
Rucker-Specht.
Miss Gertrude Specht and Haswell A. Rucker were united in marriage on Wednesday night, Dec. 29th, Rev. Mr. Bockoven of the Congregational church officiating. The ceremony took place at the home of the bride’s brother Alvah E. Specht, and was witnessed by only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties and a few intimate friends.
After congratulations to the young couple had been spoken they with their guests were served with light refreshments.
The bride, whose home was at Marshalltown, is practically a stranger to Cresco people, but during frequent visits at the home of her brother, has made many friends here who will be glad to welcome her to her new home. The groom is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Rucker and has lived all his life among us and is known to be a young man of sterling worth and character He is an employe at the postoffice, being one of the city carriers.
A hosts of friends will extend best wisehs{sic} and congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Rucker, in which the Plain Dealer joins.
