MARRIED

Darby-Hartley.
The Thomas Hartley home was the scene of a wedding at high noon Thanksgiving when Miss Eunice Hartley became the bride of Thomas V. Darby of Cresco. Rev. Gough officiated. The bride’s sister, Miss Ardis Hartley, was bridesmaid and Harry Smith of Cresco groomsman. Little Miss Betty Edwards was ringbearer and Miss Esther Opfer presided at the piano. Preceeding{sic} the ceremony Mrs. Forrest Edwards sang “At Dawning.”
Following the ceremony a dinner was served to about twenty-five guests. The young couple will go to Chicago on a heneymoon{sic} trip, after which they will make their home at Cresco, where the groom is engaged in the tailoring business. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hartley and was a successful teacher in our public schools for several years. Mr. Darby was a solider in the late was and served two years in France.—Waukon Democrat.
