95th Birthday Open House for Mrs. Angela Vollmecke, at Chester

Mrs. angela Vollmecke, mother of Rev. Joseph Vollmecke who is pastor of St. Stephen's Catholic Church of Chester, was honored on her 95th birthday last Friday, May 17, at an open house held afternoon and evening at St. Stephen's Rectory.

Miss Pauline Schmitz of Eagle Center, Iowa has been with them as housekeeper since 1955.

Besides her son Rev. Joseph Vollmecke, she has another son Leo of Ft. Atkinson, Iowa; also three daughters, all sisters in the Dominican Order: Sister Corona, Sister Verona, and Sister Benetta, all of Racine, Wisc. Deceased are one son Brother Benedict, S.V.D.; and a daughter Cecelia at age 12.
