Cresco Plain Dealer Nov. 10, 1916 P-1 C-6

Saturday, Nov. 4th was the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs.
B. Isaacs and the day was fittingly though quietly observed, surrounded by relatives and many old friends who called at their home during the day to extend congratulations
At 8 o’clock Saturday morning high mass was celebrated at the Church of the Assumption by Rev. Father Murtagh. At the offertory Mrs. Ray Glass sang a beautiful hymn “Watch Over Us," and at the conclusion Father Murtagh congratulated Mr. and Mrs. Isaacs on their long and happy wedded life and spoke of the fine example of Christian living as reflected in the noble lives of these worthy people.
Toward evening the immediate relatives gathered at the home and at 8 o’clock the wedding dinner was served. The house was appropriately and profusely decorated with crysenthemums. Those present were: Mrs. Edward
C. Flood, Dr. and Mrs. Charles F. Isaacs and daughter Margaret, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Privat of Peoria, III., Mr. and Mrs. Egbert Carnes and children Cyril and Marguerite of Kewaunee, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Crowell, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Painter, and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller and daughter of Cresco, Mr. Bert Rix and little son of Granger, Mrs. Mary Goite, Mrs. G. A. Meyer and Charles Goite of Calmer.
Mr. and Mrs. Isaacs have spent practically all of their wedded life in Cresco being among the first residents here. They are highly respected by the entire community and it is hoped-that they may live to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary.
