OBITUARY OF LEWIS KNUTSON

Lewis Knutson , who resided six miles north of Roland, died at the Lutheran hospital at Hampton of Friday, October 17, after having had an operation performed. He had been in poor health for some time and submitted to an operation from which he seemed to be recovering, when he had a setback and died a few days later.

Lewis Henry Knutson was born 2 1/2 miles southeast of Randall on March 4, 1881. He was united in marriage to Miss Annie Rasmusson on December 8, 1909, to which union four children were born. He was taken to the hospital at Hampton on Saturday, October 11, where an operation was performed and died on Friday, October 17.

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, Mrs. Annie Knutson, four children, his mother, Mrs. Catherine (Meltvedt) Knutson, seven brothers and sisters, Mrs. George Ness, Story City; Mrs. John Marcus, Williams; Charley Knutson, Rake; Mrs. Dan Knutson, Des Moines; Theodore Knutson, Radcliffe; Mrs. O. Tungesvig, Radcliffe; and Miss Carrie Knutson, Radcliffe.

Funeral services were conducted from the North St. Petri church, Tuesday afternoon, the funeral sermon being preached by Rev. G. O. Paulsrud of Randall.
