BAGLEY WOMAN DIES FROM AUTO INJURIES

Mrs. J. A. Corn, wife of Dr. Corn, Bagley druggist, died at her home in Bagley, Friday night from injuries received in an automobile accident July 6th. Mr. and Mrs. Corn had spent July 4th in Kansas City and were returning home by route 71 when they collided with a truck on the intersection of two primary highways east of St. Joseph, Mo.

Mrs. Corn was seriously injured and her husband was also badly shaken up but his condition was not serious. Mrs. Corn was removed to a hospital in St. Joe where she remained for several weeks. She was then taken to the Perry Hospital where she remained for care about a week. Her condition grew steadily worse and physicians advised taking her to Iowa City. She was given the best care that specialists could provide at Iowa City but her condition was such that she could not recover from her injuries. She was brought to her home in Bagley about a week ago and died Friday night, September 18.

Mrs. Corn was a highly educated woman, having been a registered pharmacist. She was an ardent worker in the Ladies Auxiliary at Bagley and took a great deal of interest in community and church life in general.

Services were held at the Bagley Methodist church Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Reverend Lauren D. Thomas was in charge of the services. Interment in Dodge Cemetery.
