Frank Walker

Frank Walker, 65, native of Des Moines county, died at his home, 552 South Tenth street at 8:45 o’clock last night after three weeks’ illness.

Mr. Walker was born in Des Moines county, December 9, 1861, and was married to Miss Adaline Williams, December 14, 1882, who preceded him in death. He retired from farm life and came to Burlington about seven years ago and for the past five years had been the local agent for the Pacific Mutual Life Insurance company. He was a member of the Tama Township M. E. church but since moving to Burlington had attended the Grace M. E. church and was active in Sunday school work, being at one time president of the Men’s Bible class of that church.

He is survived by six daughters, Mrs J. W. Fowler of Brooklyn, Ia., Mrs. E. F. Edel and Fay of DeKalb, Ill., Mrs. F J. Hutchcroft of Mediapolis, and Mary and Fern at home; three sons, Bruce of Newton, Kas., Dean of Sherman, Cal., and Karl of near Burlington; and seventeen gran(d)children.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed and will be announced later. Friends may view the remains at the Burnett-Wallin funeral home this afternoon.
