Charles Lee Strand, 36, of Perry, died Jan. 2, 1995 in Perry. Funeral services were Jan. 5, 1995 at the Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Pastor Terry Townsend officiated with burial at the Oakdale Cemetery in Adel.
He was born May 11, 1958 in Des Moines to Albert Kenneth and Grace Inez (Hauser) Strand. He had worked for his parents in the Strand Food Market in Adel before starting his career with Hy Vee in Des Moines. He had been Produce Manager for 15 years in Perry for the company. He was a member of the Perry Golf and Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Surviving relatives include his mother; on son, Michael Strand of Perry; one brother, Stephen Kenneth and wife Midge of Adel; one sister, Susan Diane Wiley and husband Brad of Lorimor; special friend, Carol Henning of Perry; and one granddaughter.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Chuck Stand Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
