Funeral services for Claus "John" Greve, 84, Fulton, Ill., were held Nov. 10, 1997 at Nelson Funeral Home in Clinton, with the Rev. Stan Giles officiating. Burial was in the Clinton Lawn cemetery.

Mr. Greve died Nov. 7 at Samaritan North hospital in Clinton.

The son of William and Arvilla Jensen Greve, he was born Sept. 13, 1913 in Clinton. He married Irma Switzer on Aug. 21, 1937 in Tipton.

Mr. Greve was employed for 30 years as a diesel mechanic for International Harvester in Clinton and he received the company "Doctor Degree".

He was a member of the Evangelical Free church, where he served as a deacon and elder. He enjoyed devoting his time to friends and family.

Mr. Greve is survived by his wife; 4 daughters, Janice Bannick, Chillicothe, Ill.; Naomi Reuter, Clinton; Myrna DinWiddie, Cordova, Ill.; Arvilla Mickelson, Bettendorf; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Greve.
