Funeral services for Irene M. Petersen, 92, Wheatland, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1997 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with the Rev. William Kanne officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's church cemetery.

Mrs. Petersen died Sept. 1 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home, following a long illness.

Irene Kinney was born Sept. 2, 1904 in Lowden. She married Dr. William Petersen in 1934. He died in 1992.

She taught school for 11 years at Public School 2, south of Lowden.

Mrs. Petersen is survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen Knudsen, Grand Mound; and 3 grandchildren.
