Funeral services for Burdetta C. Agnew, 87, Toronto, were held July 26, 1997 at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland, with the Rev. William Kanne officiating. Pallbearers were Don Straka, Charles Nicely, Darrell Hicks, Ward Longner, Raymond Hintz and Ed Freyermuth. Burial was in the Massillon cemetery.

Mrs. Agnew died July 21 at the home of her son in Los Angeles, Calif. following a sudden illness.

The daughter of Jim and Maude Emerson Barnhart, she was born June 28, 1910 in Clinton county. She married Ralph Agnew on Jan. 22, 1933. He died in 1974.

Mrs. Agnew is survived by a son, Arthur, Los Angeles, Calif.; 2 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, David.
