Funeral services for Louise Knoche, 97, Wheatland, were held Feb. 28, 1996 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with the Rev. Harold Koenig officiating. Sandra Horman was the organist and Kathy Patterson sang. Pallbearers were Ken VanHulzen, Roland, Robert and Ross Reiling, Rich Edler and Jess Hebdon. Burial was in St. Paul's cemetery.
Mrs. Knoche died Feb. 25 at the Mechanicsville Care Center, following a short illness.
The daughter of David and Katherine Wulf Mayerhofer, she was born Dec. 4, 1898 in Iowa. She married William Knoche March 7, 1918. He died in 1978.
Mrs. Knoche was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She enjoyed watching basketball and baseball of TV.
She is survived by a daughter, Bernadine Lund, Dixon; a son, Owen Knoche, Knox City, Mo.; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lawrence Mayerhofer.
