A pretty little wedding took place Tuesday morning, July 30th, at Sacred Heart church, Cox Creek, the occasion being the marriage of Miss Maria Anna Ivory, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ivory, to Mr. Edward C. Rogers, of Boardman. The marriage ceremony was conducted by Rev. Father Rowe at a nuptial mass at 9 o'clock, while the choir sang Rosewig's mass in C. Many friends were present.

The bride was dressed in a pretty costume of light blue silk, trimmed in net guipure lace. She was attended by her sister, Miss Alice, who wore a dress of electric blue cloth trimmed in jet and spangled lace. Both wore white hats and white gloves. The groom was attended by his brother, Mr. Michael Rogers. After the conclusion of the ceremony a reception was tendered to the near relatives and friends of the contracting parties at the home of the bride's parents, where a choice dinner was served, and the afternoon was spent in a most happy way, until evening, when the guests departed, voting Mr. and Mrs. Ivory as truly pleasant entertainers.

The bride is known to many as one of the county's most successful teachers, and as a young lady of fine qualities and amiable disposition, and Mr. Rogers is to be congratulated on securing such a prize. The groom, who is a son of Mr. Edward Rogers, one of the most prosperous farmers of the county, is a highly respected young man and very popular on account of his manly, straightforward ways and genial manner.

Many substantial presents were received. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers go to housekeeping on their farm in Boardman twp., attended by the best wishes of their numerous friends for a long and happy wedded life.
